Why Do Our Producers
Choose Sunny Creek?
At Sunny Creek Trading Post, community and commerce converge to support a diverse tapestry of producers. At Sunny Creek, we pride ourselves on being more than just a marketplace; we are a lifeline for individuals facing unique challenges and aspirations.
Our producers come from all walks of life: retirees navigating fixed incomes amidst inflation, individuals with disabilities seeking financial independence, survivors of abuse and cancer, and parents managing the care of disabled children.
We are honored to support a young family forging a homestead legacy, culinary arts students honing their craft at Pioneer Tech, and those using creativity as a sanctuary from the chaos of modern life. Our platform amplifies the voices of veterans, autoimmune warriors, and volunteers dedicated to local causes.
Sunny Creek recognizes that success for the mission and our vendors is intertwined. We are committed to empowering our producers and weaving new ones into the local food landscape.
Our commitment goes beyond transactional; it's about fostering a supportive ecosystem where every sale creates meaningful impact. Whether you're seeking artisanal crafts, wholesome produce, or heartfelt creations, each purchase at Sunny Creek Trading Post sustains dreams and sustains futures.

FAQs for Potential Producers
What kind of store is Sunny Creek Trading Post?
Sunny Creek is a Farm Hub — a community-driven consignment store that offers locally grown, raised, and handmade products. We focus on quality, transparency, and supporting small producers in our region.
How do I sell my products at Sunny Creek?
You'll need to complete a producer application. Once reviewed and approved, we'll schedule an onboarding meeting to go over how consignment works, how your items get priced, and what to expect.
What types of products do you accept?
We prioritize food, produce, farm-related goods, handmade items, and other products that reflect skill, creativity, or agricultural roots. There are some limitations due to Farm Hub regulations, which we'll explain during onboarding.
Are there any products you don't accept?
Yes. Mass-produced goods, resold retail items, MLM products, and items that don't meet our quality standards or Farm Hub rules won't be approved. We'll review all products case-by-case during the application process.
What's the process for getting started?
Start by filling out the producer application. Once submitted, we'll reach out to schedule an onboarding meeting where we'll discuss guidelines, expectations, and next steps.
How does consignment work at Sunny Creek?
You keep ownership of your items while they're in the store. When your items sell, you receive payment minus a consignment percentage. Full details are shared after your application is accepted.
Do I need to pay to have my items in the store?
We do not share financial details upfront. Information about any applicable fees or percentages is shared during onboarding after we've reviewed your application.
Can I sell food items like baked goods, jams, or hot sauce?
Absolutely, as long as your items comply with the Oklahoma Homemade Food Freedom Act or are produced in a licensed facility. We'll help guide you through labeling requirements. Please note that we also take into account the current needs of the store and our customers, including how many producers we already have offering similar items. Our goal is to maintain variety while ensuring everyone has a fair chance to succeed, so product type availability may factor into the onboarding decision.
What kind of labeling or packaging is required?
All products must be clearly and neatly labeled. We'll walk you through specific labeling needs during onboarding.
Can I drop off items anytime?
We will discuss availability for drop-offs upon onboarding.
Do I have to be present at the store to sell my items?
Nope! Sunny Creek handles all in-store sales and customer service. However, your engagement — like sharing the store or your items on social media — makes a big difference!
How often will I be paid for sales?
We offer regular payouts, but specific timelines and payout methods will be discussed with you once you're onboarded.
Can I get help setting my prices?
Yes, we're happy to help you price your items competitively while also honoring your time, skill, and ingredients. Final prices are a collaboration.
Do you mark up my prices?
All pricing and markups are reviewed during onboarding and at product drop-off thereafter. We make sure producers understand the full pricing structure before they begin.
What's expected of me as a producer?
We ask that you bring quality items, keep them clean and well-labeled, meet intake deadlines, and help promote the store when you can. A collaborative mindset and participation in special events are also encouraged!
Can I update or swap out my inventory?
Yes! We love it when producers bring fresh, seasonal, or new products. We will show you how to record new stock.
What kind of support does Sunny Creek offer its producers?
We offer marketing, a professional storefront space to showcase your products to our customers, help with pricing and labeling, and a shared network of free, local business coaches. We're also available to answer questions or brainstorm with you.
Can I be featured on your social media or website?
Yes! We frequently showcase our producers and their stories on our social media. Your business will also be rotationally listed on our website after a one-month waiting period from your onboarding date.
I make items that are a little unconventional — how do I know if they're a fit?
We love unique products, especially those with a strong personal story or local tie-in. Reach out with your idea or email photos — we're happy to discuss! Email us at hello@sunnycreektradingpost.com.
When is the best time to apply?
Anytime! We review applications regularly. We do have a waiting list for certain items, so be sure to get your name in quickly to secure your spot in line!
Do you accept wholesale accounts?
We accept limited wholesale accounts. All potential wholesale producers must still fill out the application.
